Mom and Baby Breastfeeding Support Groups

Meets: 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Groups are FREE and open to the public.

Meets: Every Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor. Groups are FREE and open to the public.

Topics Include:

  • Starting out right
  • How to make milk
  • Return to Work support
  • The first 10 days
  • How to know if baby is getting enough
  • Latching the baby one
  • Pumping and safe storing

Along with breastfeeding support and discussions, there will be guest speakers and holiday crafts throughout the year. 


Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program and WIC Breastfeeding Class

FREE breastfeeding classes are now being offered virtually for your convenience. In-person classes available upon request.

Peer counselors are available, including evenings and weekends, to answer questions and offer support.

Call to schedule an appointment to see a lactation consultant for breastfeeding support.

Individual breastfeeding consultations include:

  • Assist with proper baby latching, managing milk supply, addressing breastfeeding challenges such a pain, providing guidance on returning to work or school, supporting re-lactation or induced lactation, addressing oral restrictions, and more. 
  • Offer breast pumps tailored for high-risk infants, for mothers returning to work or school, and for those requiring occasional relief feeds. Our pump options include double electric, and hand pumps.

For additional support, our infant feeding and breastfeeding support line is available for inquiries related to breastfeeding, artificial breast milk, pumps, weaning, introduction of bottle or solid foods, classes, support groups, and other nutritional questions. You can reach us at 813-345-3307.

Additionally, we provide peer counselors specifically for prenatal or breastfeeding mothers. For assistance, please call 813-364-5818.
