The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County (DOH-Pasco) provides opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and practice related to public health through internships. For a student to participate in an internship, their university/school must have an agreement with the DOH-Pasco.

- University of Florida
- University of South Florida
- University of West Florida
We handle requests for internships on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability. Health clinic internships reach capacity months before the desired intern start date.
To get started, complete the Internship Application Form and submit your syllabus and resume to Pasco.Web@FLhealth.gov. You must submit your application materials by:
- Spring Semester: November 1
- Summer Semester: March 1
- Fall Semester: July 1
Once placement is confirmed, the intern coordinator will contact you. You must pass background screening and attend orientation to be an intern with DOH-Pasco.
